For best performance the fountain pump needs to be cleaned every two weeks. When cleaning the pump we recommend cleaning the fountain and changing the filter as well. Multi-pet households may need to be cleaned more frequently.
Steps Pump Cleaning Instructions 1. Use your nail or a tool with a small edge to remove the face plate on the end opposite the cord. Please note: the Outdoor Dog Fountain pump face plate slides out. 2. Pull up on the small lip to remove the teardrop-shaped stator. 3. Remove the impeller by pulling up from underneath it with your finger. 4. Clean all parts of the pump using soap and warm water with a small brush such as a toothbrush. Completely rinse the pump then reassemble. Size:
