The 3-Stage water filtration makes drinking from most bodies of water safe due to its chemical-free filtration and its BPA free ABS plastic materials. The three stages include a sediment filter which filters large particles and increases performance and longevity. The second stage is a Hollow Fiber Membrane which removes 99.9999% of bacteria and parasites, as well as reduced microplastics. The third stage is an activated carbon which reduces bad odor and improves the taste of the water. You can feel safe using this filter as it meets NSF P231 testing protocol and US EPA Standards for removal of bacteria and parasites.
